Identity Health’s Science

We take our science seriously. We are a national leader in connecting individuals with high quality laboratory testing. Since 2015, we’ve helped half a million people get tested without having to leave their homes. The laboratory tests we offer meet the highest standards of quality, safety, reliability and accuracy, because you should never settle for anything less.

Lab Certification

The laboratories we use to help you get tested are CLIA-certified and many are CAP-accredited, which means they must meet or exceed high precision, accuracy, and validity standards, obtain both state and federal certifications, and submit themselves to regular inspections as well as independent third-party performance verifications.

Sample Collection

Our collection methods are effective, well-established, and easy to do at home. We only offer collection methods that meet rigorous standards for reliability, stability, and validity for use in at-home collection.

More is not necessarily more.

It’s a common misconception that labs need entire vials of blood to run one or more tests. In reality, many common tests can be done with only a small amount of blood, and there is often a large amount of wasted and unused sample left after testing is complete.

Curated for You…

For each test, our medical team curates the biomarkers we think are the most useful and applicable to providing the health insights you care about. These test results are meant to help you understand your health and well-being, and to provide you with data and options to make dietary or lifestyle changes. Our tests are generally the same tests that your physician orders, and are supported by independent, peer-reviewed research.

…and Your Doctor!

We always encourage sharing your Identity Health results with your healthcare provider. You can print or email a “doctor friendly” version of your results in a format that your physician is used to seeing when normally reviewing lab results. Our tests provide personalized information and education that empowers you to be more involved with and educated about your own health. But, our tests are not intended to diagnose diseases (with the exception of our STD test offerings). You should always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you have regarding your medical care.
